I wanted to make my own decisions and provide great customer service.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB NOW?
Working with my two daughters on a daily basis is a great joy for me. They are both so smart and talented and I can rely on them and all of my managers and staff to run the business whether I am there or not. This gives me some freedom to help my parents and in-laws and to enjoy some free time also. I have complete faith and trust in my employees to make the right decisions.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?
A tough job. I like to take a challenging job and turn it into something great.
WHAT’S YOUR MOTTO?
Commitment to our customers that our work will be accomplished in a professional and timely manner at a fair price and that our customers will be satisfied with the final product.
WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT THE BUSINESS CLIMATE HERE?
We are very fortunate that this area is continually growing and changing and the military bases provide a more stable economical base than other areas of the country.
WHO WAS YOUR MENTOR?
Definitely, my Dad, Elbert Childress. He was so mechanically inclined and I have learned so much from him.
HAVE YOU EVER WORKED WITH A NOTABLE PERSON OR CELEBRITY? IF SO, WHO?
